We, the three, we never knew the price
Of playing with elevator physics
And soon found ourselves paying that price
With every ounce of strength it took to hang on
The cart careened over the edge
And I tried to make nice with what's beyond
And the man behind the veil gave me a hint
And scrambling, I climbed onto the nearby cliff.
"You fools! Come on! Climb up!"
But lo, they did not come
They did not want to go, for at that edge
It was as though their lives had just begun.
